The battery life on Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the biggest decisive factors for people while buying this amazing phone. In fact, GSM Arena conducted tests recently and has found out good results. Compared to Galaxy S3, the Samsung Galaxy 4’s powerful 2600mAh battery registered a 25 percent increase in battery life. Though GSM Arena conducted the test on the quad-core version (Snapdragon 600), the battery performance on octal-core version may differ, albeit slightly.

Though it did pretty well, rivals like Sony Xperia Z, Nexus 4 and Motorola RAZR have beaten Galaxy S4 in battery talk-time. For Galaxy S4, it was 13 hours and 53 minutes and reigning on top was the under-rated Motorola RAZR MAXX with 21 hours and 18 minutes.
HTC One, the competitor of Galaxy 4 is actually the leader here with 9 hours and 58 minutes. Samsung Galaxy S4 with 8 hours and 42 minutes of web browsing time, comes 6th on the list, although it has beaten the likes of Note 2 and Motorola RAZR Maxx.

The sixth position seems to be the favorite of Galaxy S4 as it gets the same position for video playback. Samsung Galaxy S4 can give you 10 hours and 16 minutes of video viewing which is enough to watch a few films when you are traveling.
