Samsung announced its Galaxy Gear Smart watch two days before the IFA Berlin Trade Show. The watch has a 1.63-inch, 320 x 320 pixel Super AMOLED screen, an 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage along with 1. 9 megapixel camera.
For those who wonder how the watch would serve as a camera, you can simply record pictures and videos on-the-go and share them on social networking sites. Though it doesn’t exactly appear innovative, it is more user-friendly coz instead of taking the mobile from the pocket, you can simple use the camera from the wrist.
The watch comes from an inbuilt pedometer which can track your exercise, a music controller and supports voice operation, which allows you to make hands-free call directly from your Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch.
The watch will be available in six colors – lime green, oatmeal beige, wild orange, mocha gray, jet black and rose gold. Samsung has tied up with as many as 70 partners who will provide apps, they include RunKepper, Vivino, Evernote, Path, eBay etc.
Galaxy Gear will release on Sept. 25 worldwide (in more than 140 countries) at the price of $299.
