Honor is reportedly working on a GT-brand smartphone for the Chinese market. However, the company is not talking about it as it is focused on launching the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro smartphones in China. However, a new leak has revealed key details about the release timeframe and the final marketing name of the next GT-branded smartphones.
According to a Chinese leaker, Honor’s next GT-series phone will be called the Honor 90 GT. He added that the device will not be announced immediately after the Honor 100 series. Instead, it will debut at the end of December.
Honor launched two GT-series phones in the second half of 2022. While the Honor X40 GT was announced in September, the Honor 80 GT debuted by the end of December. Honor 100 GT’s launch seems to follow a similar pattern, aligning with the end-of-year release schedule that the company has adopted for its GT-series smartphones.
Recent reports have also revealed that Honor is working on the Honor X50 GT featuring specs, such as a 6.81-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 888 chip, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 4,800mAh battery, a 50MP main rear camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera. It is unclear whether the X50 GT will be released this year.
