Honor X50 GT is preparing to launch as it has just passed the quality certification test. Whilst the test proves that the product launch is close, it doesn’t give many details on the device. This entry from smartphone manufacturer Honor will succeed the X50 entry that launched earlier this month.
Fans might already be aware that the X-series GT line-up from Honor packs a punch. This is the beefed-up entry into the series to help cater for the needs of gamers. Last year, the brand launched the X40 GT, and it came with significant improvements over the X40 smartphone.
Armed with this information, netizens can make speculations as to what they expect from the coming Honor X50 GT. These speculations can touch on its design, specifications, and possible price range. All speculations can be sourced from the X50 and X40 GT smartphones.

Honor X50 GT to feature notable specification improvements over its predecessor
Launch last year, the Honor X40 GT made use of the Snapdragon 888 5G processor. This processor at the time was over a year old but still a reasonable upgrade from the Snapdragon 695 5G processor on the X40. Asides from an upgrade in processor and internal specifications, the X40 GT also got some design improvements.
Honor gave it a more bold and gamer-oriented device with green accents around its body. Also, the GT logo sat at the centre of the ring camera cutout, which wasn’t available on the base model. For this year, Honor stuck with the ring camera cutout design for the X50 smartphone but brought a new processor.
Powering this new device is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 that launched last year. For the coming Honor X50 GT, the company will improve this processor as well as the device’s design. Fans can expect an SoC such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor to power this device.
For design, this coming device will also flex some gamer-oriented elements. Lastly, its pricing might be similar to the X40 GT, meaning that it might retail for under 2500 Yuan (~$350) at launch. These are mere speculations as there is no information on the device or its specifications. Possibly, more details on the coming Honor X50 GT will become available in the coming weeks.
