iQOO is reportedly gearing up to launch the iQOO Z8 series in China. Previous reports claimed that the iQOO Z8 and Z8x would launch this month in China. However, there have been no teasers yet from the brand. A new leak courtesy of a Chinese tipster has revealed the launch timeframe of the iQOO Z8. In addition, he also revealed the configuration and color options of the device.
The tipster has claimed that the iQOO Z8 will launch by the beginning of September. According to the leaker, the Z8 will arrive with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone will come in black and blue variants. In the comments section of the Weibo post, the tipster has also tipped a third color option that is similar to the Isle of Man color variant, which it offers for flagship models, such as the iQOO 11 series. This color variant will be available instead of the orange version that was seen on the iQOO Z7 series.
As per other reports, the iQOO Z8 has a 6.64-inch LCD panel that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The Dimensity 8200 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging will power it. For photography, it will have an OIS-enabled 64-megapixel main camera.
The iQOO Z8x is expected to feature the same display as the iQOO Z8. It willl come equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging. The Z8 series will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner and run on OriginOS 3.0-based Android 13.
