Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will launch during the Unpacked event which is a few days away. As netizens anticipate this product launch event, a new leak throws some light on what to expect. While the product specifications are out of the bag, its actual images remain a mystery.
Samsung’s fans are left to imagine what the coming watch series will look like from CAD renderings. But now they have a clear idea of the specifications that the coming smartwatch series will launch with. Part of the information available has to do with the available trims and improvements over the current Galaxy smartwatches.
From this leak, it is clear that Samsung is bringing back the Galaxy Watch Classic entry. This variant was replaced by the Pro model on the Galaxy Watch 5 lineup. Here are all the leaked details on the coming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series.
Details on the coming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will launch in a few days with two entries. First is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and following it is the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. One of the major differences between these watches will be their sizes.
When it comes to the Watch 6, it will launch in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm. The Watch 6 Classic will also launch with two sizes, but it’d increase them to 43mm and 47mm. Whichever entry users buy, they’d get the option to pick between the Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + Cellular (LTE) versions.
The return of the Classic entry to the Galaxy Watch 6 series means the return of the rotating bezel. Samsung fans last saw this on the Watch 4 Classic that went official a few years ago. This rotating bezel will be used to control the screen without touching it.
Coming over to battery capacity, both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic (40mm and 43mm) entries will pack 300mAh batteries. As for the larger variants for each entry, they’d both pack 425mAh batteries. The screen sizes on all four models will be a bit larger than their predecessors.
For performance, all watches will use 2GB worth of RAM and 16GB of storage. Under the hood will lie the Exynos W930 processor for better performance. During the launch to take place on July 27, the prices of all entries in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will be unveiled.
