Rumors have been consistently hinting that Meizu would be introducing the Meizu PRO 7 and Meizu PRO 7 Plus on July 26. Even the company has not made any official announcement on the launch date, leaked invitations of the Meizu PRO 7 had surfaced on Weibo on @Weibo.com/weibusi. The Weibo post containing the invitations have been deleted.
According to above images, the Meizu PRO 7 would be launching at 7:30 PM local time on July 26. The USP of Meizu PRO 7 and Meizu PRO 7 Plus is the rear-facing secondary screen that can be seen in the above invitations. Leaked information has revealed that it can be used for checking notifications, playing games, display information like time and weather, and more.
The Meizu PRO 7 and 7 PRO 7 Plus are to respectively feature 5.2-inch FHD and 5.7-inch QHD display. Even though 7 PRO Plus is rumored to be powered by Samsung Exynos 8895 chipset, newer information shared by Meizu’s Blue Charm staff has revealed that both the phones would be driven by MediaTek X30 chipset. Its dual rear camera setup is expected to include 12-megapixdel Sony IMX386 + IM286. On the front, both the phones are expected to sport 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Rumors have it that Meizu PRO 7 would be coming in 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. These models are rumored to be respectively priced at 2,799 Yuan (~$413) and 3,299 Yuan (~$486). The Meizu PRO 7 Plus is expected to come in models like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.
