Motorola has confirmed the launch date of its latest premium smartphone, the Motorola Edge 70 Max, in India. The company has revealed the device’s design and highlighted several key specifications ahead of its official debut. The new Edge series phone is set to arrive on July 15 and will be available through Flipkart and other retail channels.

Ahead of the launch, a Flipkart microsite has revealed the smartphone’s design and hardware details. The phone features a flat display with slim bezels and will be offered in light blue and green. The rear panel gets a square-shaped camera module placed on a flat back design.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform. Motorola claims the chipset delivers a 46 percent improvement in AI-related NPU performance and enables on-device AI processing. The phone will support up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and has achieved an AnTuTu score of over 3 million, according to the Flipkart listing.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max will feature a Quad-HD+ LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits. The panel supports 10-bit colour output, DCI-P3 color gamut, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Motorola has also confirmed a 95.12 percent screen-to-body ratio and support for 120fps gameplay in BGMI.
The device will pack a 7,100mAh battery with support for 90W TurboPower wired charging. It will also feature magnetic wireless charging, which Motorola claims is a first in its segment. The phone includes an ArcticMesh cooling system with a 5,500 sq mm vapor cooling chamber to manage heat during demanding tasks.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is expected to sit between the Edge 70 Pro+ and the Signature models in the company’s premium lineup. While the official price will be announced at launch, the smartphone is likely to be positioned around Rs 50,000.
