Recently, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed key specifications of the Oppo Find N7, which is expected to feature a wide foldable design similar to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and the rumoured iPhone Ultra. The tipster also claimed that the foldable will be announced in Q1 2027, and a newer leak has now revealed a more precise launch timeframe.
Oppo Find N7 launch timeline and expected features
According to tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, the Oppo Find N7 is currently planned to launch in March 2027. This would follow a similar release cycle as the Oppo Find N6, which was introduced in March 2026. The tipster also suggested that before the arrival of the Find N7, the Oppo Find N6 will continue to be one of the best foldable phones when it comes to controlling the display crease.
Earlier, Digital Chat Station claimed that the Oppo Find N7 is being tested with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. The processor is expected to be based on a 2nm process and could make the Find N7 one of the first foldable smartphones powered by the next-generation flagship platform. Oppo is also said to be testing an on-device AI accelerator for the upcoming foldable.
The Oppo Find N7 is reportedly being tested with a battery capacity starting with the digit “6”, with early engineering targets pointing towards a 6,500mAh cell. If the final device launches with this capacity, it would offer a larger battery than several competing foldable smartphones. For comparison, the Oppo Find N6 features a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Oppo Find N6 features an 8.12-inch inner display and a 6.62-inch AMOLED cover screen. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The foldable also includes a Hasselblad-tuned quad-camera setup with a 200-megapixel primary sensor and dual 20-megapixel front cameras.
