POCO M6 Pro 5G has been teased to launch in the coming days on the brand’s Indian Twitter page. In this post, the brand only gave fans the launch date of this coming device. For its specifications, there is little or no information available in the teaser post.
However, this device might be the redesign of another device that’s available under the Xiaomi brand. Despite the little information about this device, POCO makes it clear that this will be a 5G-enabled device. This smartphone will succeed the already existing POCO M5 series, and it’d bring a ton of improvements.
The improvements will not only affect the performance of the M6 Pro 5G’s predecessor but also its design. From the launch promotional image, it’s clear that the coming device will feature a new rear design. This design however is very similar to that on the all-new Redmi 12 5G.

POCO M6 Pro 5G might feature similar specifications to the Redmi 12 5G smartphone
It’s no news that Redmi and POCO often share specifications and features. This device might just be another entry where these Xiaomi-owned brands will share specifications. The POCO M6 Pro 5G will also borrow some design elements from the Redmi 12 5G.
Looking at the design, the POCO M6 Pro 5G comes with three rear cut-outs, two holding cameras and one holding a flashlight. This is similar to the new Redmi 12 5G, the only difference is the bold POCO logo that sits just opposite the rear cut-outs. The rear layout for cameras, flashlight, and logo on the POCO M6 Pro 5G will be black.
Under the hood might sit a similar processor and storage configuration. This device to launch in a few days might use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. Other specifications on this device might also be similar to those on the recent budget 5G-enabled smartphone from Redmi.
The launch of this device will take place on Flipkart on August 5 where users will be able to purchase the device. There’s no information on its pricing, but we expect it to be similar to that of the Redmi entry. Fans can keep their fingers crossed and their hopes high in anticipation of this new device.
