Oppo’s brand structure is undergoing a notable shift, with fresh developments pointing to a tighter alignment between its core brand and sub-brands. While product plans remain unchanged, the move signals a broader strategic recalibration aimed at long-term growth and efficiency.
Realme returns under Oppo as a sub-brand
According to internal information shared by Lei Feng Network, Oppo has decided to bring Realme back under its umbrella as a sub-brand. The move is intended to strengthen coordinated operations and improve resource integration across the group. Going forward, Oppo will operate with a clearer structure consisting of the OPPO main brand, supported by two sub-brands, OnePlus and Realme, each maintaining differentiated positioning.
As part of this realignment, Realme will fully integrate into Oppo’s after-sales service system, allowing for more unified service standards and customer support. Importantly, Realme’s product roadmap remains intact. New devices will continue to launch as scheduled, and the brand’s market positioning will not change. realme CEO Li Bingzhong, also known as Sky Li, will oversee the overall sub-brand business, while Li Jie will continue in his role as President of OnePlus China.
Oppo believes that with both OnePlus and Realme aligning more closely, internal resources can be better coordinated. Early signs from 2025 performance data suggest that this integration has already started delivering results, with the OPPO group seeing improved market share and growth momentum in both China and overseas markets.
Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station described the development as a major piece of news, confirming that realme has officially returned to Oppo as a sub-brand. He noted that the Oppo structure is now clearly defined as a main brand supported by OnePlus and Realme as twin sub-brands, with Realme fully connected to OPPO’s after-sales ecosystem.
DCS also pointed out that Realme’s higher-tier positioning remains unchanged and that its launch plans are unaffected. He specifically mentioned that the Realme Neo 8 is expected to debut later this month, suggesting that the transition will not slow down the brand’s product momentum. From an industry perspective, analysts believe this consolidation will help Oppo focus resources more effectively and strengthen its global expansion strategy.
