The Redmi K100 Pro Max has surfaced in a new round of gaming benchmarks just days before its official debut in China. Alongside showcasing its gaming capabilities across several popular titles, the latest information also confirms, for the first time, one of the phone’s biggest hardware upgrades, giving us a clearer picture of Redmi’s next performance flagship.
Redmi K100 Pro Max battery capacity confirmed for the first time
So far, the brand has confirmed that the Redmi K100 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and includes Redmi’s D2 discrete graphics chip for enhanced gaming performance. Redmi has already confirmed that the phone features a 6.9-inch RGB OLED flat display with an industry-leading 185Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the brand has also confirmed that the K100 Pro Max includes simultaneous frame interpolation and resolution upscaling through the dual-chip architecture, native support for more than 30 popular games at up to 185Hz, a flagship touch controller with a 480Hz touch sampling rate, dedicated gaming antennas to reduce network latency, and game audio tuned by Bose with enhanced footsteps and gunshot effects.
Now, in a new development, gaming benchmark results shared by reviewer New Technology and reposted by Redmi Product Manager Xinxin_Mia confirm that the Redmi K100 Pro Max packs a massive 9070mAh battery, marking the first official confirmation of its battery capacity.
The newly published gaming tests suggest the Redmi K100 Pro Max is designed to deliver stable performance without excessive power consumption. In Honor of Kings, the device averaged 119.7fps while consuming 3.63W, with the temperature reaching 41.5°C during a 60-minute session. Peace Elite also maintained 119.7fps, drawing 4.09W, while Delta Force averaged 119.5fps at 5.37W.
More demanding titles also produced encouraging results. Genshin Impact averaged 59.9fps with 4.67W power consumption, whereas Honkai: Star Rail averaged 55.6fps at 6.80W, reaching a peak temperature of 52.2°C under the heavier workload. The results indicate Redmi has focused on balancing frame rate stability with thermal management, an area the company says has received significant optimisation with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform.
While Xiaomi has yet to confirm global availability, the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max are widely expected to launch internationally as the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra, respectively. Redmi has also confirmed that the standard Redmi K100 will be introduced at a later date.
