Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy A56, expected to arrive in spring 2025. The device is set to bring hardware and software upgrades, including long-term support and potential AI enhancements. However, a recent listing reveals a minor decline in its repairability compared to its predecessor.
Repairability score sees a slight dip
According to Samsung’s French website, the Galaxy A56 has received a repairability score of 8.4, slightly lower than the Galaxy A55’s 8.5. The primary reason for this drop is the ease of disassembly, where the A56 scores 5.0 compared to the A55’s 5.8. While the difference is minimal, it suggests that replacing some internal components may be slightly more difficult.
Samsung Galaxy A56 5G specifications (leaked)
The Galaxy A56 is expected to be powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 1580 processor, an upgrade from the Exynos 1480 in the A55. The phone will likely retain a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 5MP macro camera, while the front camera is expected to be downgraded to 12MP from the 32MP sensor used since the Galaxy A51. Samsung may also introduce Galaxy AI features, with the term “Awesome Intelligence” registered as a potential branding for AI-powered tools.
Launch timeline and expected pricing
The Galaxy A56 is expected to debut in the next month or two, shortly after the Galaxy S25 series launch. While official pricing is yet to be announced, it is likely to fall between Rs 41,000 and Rs 45,000, similar to its predecessor. With AI upgrades and six years of software support, the Galaxy A56 is shaping up to be a strong mid-range contender.
