Compared to Galaxy S3, the Samsung Galaxy 4’s powerful 2600mAh battery registered a 25 percent increase in battery life. Though GSM Arena conducted the test on the quad-core version (Snapdragon 600), the battery performance on octal-core version may differ, albeit slightly.

Though it did pretty well, rivals like Sony Xperia Z, Nexus 4 and Motorola RAZR have beaten Galaxy S4 in battery talk-time. For Galaxy S4, it was 13 hours and 53 minutes and reigning on top was the under-rated Motorola RAZR MAXX with 21 hours and 18 minutes.
