The Tecno Dynamic Port is just another attempt at imitating a UI design that Honor started. This announcement came a few days ago and has got the attention of tons of fans around the world. Other brands like Apple, Realme, and Honor have already put this type of UI design to use on some of their devices.
Different brands have different names for this UI feature, for example, Apple calls theirs the Dynamic Island. Tecno didn’t stray far from this naming pattern as they switched the Island on the Apple 14 Pro series for Port on theirs. Users of the Camon 20 series will begin to see this feature if they don’t already have it in September.
With this feature, the selfie camera cutout will become more functional, displaying quick details for users. Most fans and users of the Tecno Camon 20 series will find this new feature useful. Let’s now delve into the details of this software feature coming to the current Tecno flagship devices.

A few years ago, Honor hit the internet with an impressive UI design which made the selfie camera cutout more useful. Fast-forward to 2022, the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro series revived this UI design Honor kicked off and abandoned. After the iPhone 14 Pro series adoption of this UI design they called the Dynamic Island, Realme moved on to launch the Mini Capsule.
All these UI design functions in the same way, they all make use of the camera cutout to display notifications. With each notification, the camera cutout expands in size to display this notification. However, all brands follow unique designs for the adoption of this feature.
Now Tecno is joining the trend with the Dynamic Port that they are launching on the Camon 20 series. This feature will display information such as charging notifications, facial unlock animation, call timer, and so much more. For the UI design, Tecno leans towards the Dynamic Island present on the iPhone 14 Pro series.
Come September, users of the Camon 20 series will get this feature on their smartphones. This will be a handy feature for these users as they would be able to get some notifications once they pop up by glancing at the selfie camera cutout.
