Recent rumors have revealed that Xiaomi is going to soon introduce a new sub-brand that will take on brands like OPPO and Vivo in offline markets. Xiaomi has not revealed the name of its upcoming sub-brand. However, a leaked image of a poster suggests will introduce a phone called Xiaomi 5X. Its key specs have also been revealed. Rumors have it that this phone will be launched under the new sub-brand.
The above image suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 5X would be featuring a 5.5-inch display that will be supporting full HD resolution. It will be powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. A previously leaked press render of the phone suggests that it will be equipped with dual rear cameras. Since the image does not feature a rear-facing fingerprint reader, it is expected to feature a front mounted one.
The leaked poster suggests that the Xiaomi 5X smartphone would be costing 1999 Yuan (~$294). The image features Kris Wu, a well-known Chinese celebrity. More information on the Xiaomi 5X is expected to appear in the near future.
