The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is water resistant similar to the Sony Xperia Z smartphone. It can be undamaged in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes. The tablet comes with four speakers. Two of those are on the side panel and the remaining two at the bottom. You hold the tablet in any form either in resting pose or hanging in hand, two of the speakers will always remain uncovered.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z is equipped with 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. The user interface of it is similar to that of CyberShot cameras of the company including the Superior Auto mode. It facilitates Sweep Panorama option and 10fps burst mode too.
Battery Stamina Mode is included in Sony Xperia Tablet Z as it is in Sony Xperia Z smartphone. This mode helps in boasting the battery capacity. The basic function of this mode is to turn off all the non-essential functions to save more battery. You need to turn on the mode for this.
Sony has not yet disclosed the pricing part of the Xperia Tablet Z in the global market but very recently it has started taking pre-orders from UK customers. The Wi-Fi model with 16GB on-board storage is tagged £400, which is around $605. For additional £50 Sony is offering the 32GB model of the tablet in UK.
